“The culture of saving environment should not be marginalized in school books,” an Iranian jurisprudent says.

(Ahlul Bayt News Agency) -  “Issues about environment should be imbedded in school books, so book designers ought to avoid marginalizing the culture of safeguarding environment in school books and in educational system,” Ayatollah Naser Makarem Shirazi said.

“People should be informed and raising their information is one the duties of educational system,” the grand Ayatollah underscored.

“Each of us has right to use resources but we have no right to exploit our environment or contaminate it,” Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi mentioned.

“People should be informed of the limitation which future generation may face in using the environment,” the senior cleric pointed up.

“Education should provide a better condition for living, so textbooks ought to be included some lessons dealing with environmental issues,” Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi mentioned.

The Islamic scholar also highlighted the role of media in informing people in solving problems we face right now and might face in the future.
